Objective

Carry out production checks on pressure reducers and flowmeters using a series of tests, mark them with a serial number and ensure traceability of inspection operations.

PROBLEMATIC ISSUES

The test bench must be able to test two products simultaneously and independently using a programmable test procedure including a number of test steps.

The control system must ensure that tests can be traced back to the customer’s database system.

SOLUTION AND RESULT

LF Technologies has developed a test bench specifically for checking high-pressure medical flow regulators, enabling a wide range of tests and measurements to be carried out, including checking valve operation, measuring outlet pressures, flow rates, torque and leakage;

The test stand is equipped with two test stations, which means that test times can be optimised with a single operator.

A pneumatic network supplies the equipment to be tested, distributing three different pressures (200 bar, 10 bar and 0 to 10 bar) depending on the measurement to be made.

The test bench is equipped with vertical displacement rotary actuators that allow the flow selector on the valves to be rotated and the drive torque to be measured. The results are recorded in a database, and a laser printer produces a control sheet at the end of each cycle.
